Well, it is for me
I’m sure there are lots of happy people out there having the time of their lives, but for me – love is dead. I am now 40 years old and all seems lost. The woman i do like don’t seem to like me back but i get a lot of love from the women i don’t like… sorry for being so superficial, but looks means a lot to me.
I’m exaggerating, of course. Love is not dead and I still have lots of years ahead of me, but finding the right one at the ripe old age of 40, while having a 13 years old daughter, is not simple. She (or he, I think this goes for women as well as men) must have the right looks, the same views of the future (kids and family wise), she needs to accept you as you are (and you her) and so much more.
At 40 you just don’t have the time and patience to waste on dead end relationships that end after one year. The easy solution: stay alone, being alone grows on you and you get accustomed to it. That’s the easy road, and for me it’s not the right one. Trying to find a soul mate and a partner for life is harder, but this road holds much more promise, and that’s the road I am trying to take, no matter how hard it gets.
So to sum things up: love is not dead, but it will be for you if you don’t do something about it…
